Yosif Jabir, DDS, MBA is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he received degrees in Biotechnology and Mathematics, Creighton University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and the University of Nebraska where he earned his Masters in Business Administration. He has held numerous positions in dentistry, including partnerships in dental offices in Plainfield and Shorewood, community dentistry at the Will County Health Department, and as assistant clinical professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine – Illinois since the program’s inception, where he carried out duties as a lecturer, administrator and clinical instructor. His time as an educator solidified his knowledge and skill in clinical dentistry and gave him the opportunity to collaborate with experts in various disciplines of dentistry as well as professionals in related healthcare fields including anatomy, pharmacology and physical therapy.
After twelve years in academia, Dr. Jabir chose to return to his clinical roots and serve his community as a provider of dental services. Patients will benefit from Dr. Jabir’s calm chairside manner as well as his expertise in the various aspects of general dental care. Dr. Jabir welcomes patients of all ages, and focuses on patient comfort as well as empowering patients to realize their oral health goals. Part of Dr. Jabir’s philosophy of patient care is that patients should be encouraged and engaged in their own health, without judgement. Every patient is an individual with their own personal challenges, and Dr. Jabir sees his role as a facilitator; first understanding what each patient wants to accomplish and then providing them with the tools and information to make informed, comfortable decisions.
Dr. Jabir is excited by the trajectory of modern dentistry and incorporates evidence-based techniques and materials into his practice. He is proficient in the use of lasers and surgical microscopes, as well as the restoration of implants, and is Invisalign certified. Dr. Jabir also recognizes the importance of staying up to date with the most recent scientific information in his field, and has recently qualified to earn the prestigious Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry award, a title bestowed upon a mere 6% of general dentists in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Jabir is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Association, The Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He looks forward to meeting you in person and serving you as your dental professional.
